First Day in Jin's Cafe

Main restaurant on first floor that is open almost 24/7 and serves a mix between Chinese and Western cuisine

I am SOOO not a fan of restaurant work! I spent the past 8 hours folding 400 napkins, stuffing toothpicks in to little toothpick holders, cleaning salt and pepper shakers and then busting tables and resetting them.

My trainer is Lulu and she is HILARIOUS! She hates every customer and comes up with little pet names for everyone. One time this table came with 4 people and a baby and Lulu looks at me and says "I hate children". Then of course the people get sat in our section (Section A) and Lulu referred to them as the Crazies all night. All together my day consisted of cleaning off the plates from the Crazies, the Stupids and the Uglies.

Too funny!

I swear the only thing that makes this job tolerable are my coworkers. I love them! They keep me going everyday because these customers make me want to create a global genocide of mankind sometimes (I AM SO KIDDING PLEASE DON'T ALERT THE FEDS).

Really it is just the work schedule that blows working in Jin's Cafe. For example this week I am

Monday: 2:30pm-11:00pm
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: 5:45am-2:30pm
Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm
Friday: 2:30pm-11:00pm
Saturday: Off but not really because I have class from 2pm-5pm
Sunday: 5:45am-2:30pm

Ew! I miss Housekeeping.

'Busting tables' should be 'bussing tables'.
'Got sat' should be 'were seated'...
